Re-Framing The Travel Shot

2025

These images are not travel shots, and they are not snapshots.
They resist the postcard view and the fleeting capture.
Instead, they are fragments drawn from places I have travelled to, some many times over.

I use my camera but not for documentation, but rather as means of reflection, and as a way to interpret imagined geographies, layered time, and quiet stories that linger beneath the surface.

These are crafted images, made not to represent a single moment, but to evoke many.
Each one is composed in sections that suggest the fragmented nature of perception and recollection.

This series is printed entirely using the photopolymer photogravure process, a technique that allows for rich tonal depth, subtle textures, and hand-crafted nuance.
Printed at Baldessin Press & Studio in St Andrews, Victoria, each print is part of a limited edition of 3.
